Sporting Kansas City announced that they have signed midfielder Benny Feilhaber to a new contract on Wednesday.
The contract is valid through 2018. According to the team, Feilhaber’s 45 combined goals and assists rank second among MLS midfielders since 2015, and he has helped lead Sporting KC to playoffs in all four seasons with the team.

“My family and I are very happy to be staying in Kansas City,” Feilhaber said in a press release. “I have always loved playing in front of our fans and for this city. It’s very exciting to be able to stay here for another two years to help this club win more trophies.”
