ORIGINAL STORY 2/13/2017:
Officials say an overturned semi tanker has closed down part of K-7 in Bonner Springs, Kansas Monday.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
The tanker was carrying 8,500 gallons of highly-combustible gasoline and diesel fuels. It is expected to take several hours to fully unload all the fuel on the semi.
All ramps connected to K-7 and I-70 are closed while officials remove fuel from the overturned tanker. Northbound and Southbound K-7 are also closed from 130th Street to K-32.
The Kansas Department of Transportation said the roads are not likely to re-open until the mid-evening Monday.
KDOT advises Northbound K-7 traffic to detour via K-32 east to I-435. Southbound travelers are advised to take 130th Street to State Avenue to I-435.
