KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Traffic going both directions on I-35 near Levee Road is moving slowly because of an accident involving a truck carrying some sort of heavy concrete or stone material.
Crews closed I-35 northbound at Front Street so they could clean up, but at least one lane was back open as of 11:30 Friday morning.
The truck overturned and the concrete and diesel spilled on to the highway.
Four people were taken to the hospital for non-critical injuries.
Traffic was backed up past the I-35/29 split.
