In the sky tonight: Saturn, the Moon and Antares.

Look up to the southeast during the mid-to-late evening to view the Waning Crescent moon form a triangle with Saturn and the star Antares.

Tonight and the evening of May 13 marks the best nights to see Saturn at its brightest and largest.

The large ringed planet is currently traveling in a westward motion and by June 15 the Earth will be positioned in the middle of the Earth and the Sun.

If you’re not one for staying up past your bed time, you can still view the triangle formation during the predawn hours. During this time the triangle will shift to the southwestern sky.
