Basketball is one of my favorite sports! So when I heard that Kansas City is getting a new professional women's basketball team, I knew I wanted to play ball again.

Some of you may not know, but I played Center on my high school basketball team. We were the Niceville Eagles, in Niceville, Fla.

It didn't take me long after practicing with two players trying out for the team that my basketball prowess was gone. I did make one lay-up shot.

Our new team will be theKansas City Majestics - The Lady Eagles! Head coach Sarah Campbell explained that the Majestics are part of the  WBCBL (Women's Blue Chip Basketball League), a semi-pro league. The final tryout for the team was last Saturday.  In the coming weeks, team officials will announce the team roster and where and when the first home game will be held in Kansas City.

After this workout, I believe my position with the team will be a fan sitting in the stands. It was a great workout and so much fun. I wish the team a winning season!
