It's a tale of two burglaries.

Someone broke into Westport Ice Cream Bakery on July 8th, smashing the bottom of the glass door to get inside and snatching the cash register out.

Just three days earlier, on July 5, someone broke a lower window in front of Yogurtini in Blue Springs and tried to grab a register.

Now a video is bringing the two owners together.

Someone broke into Westport Ice Cream Bakery on July 8.

Steve Engravalle owns Westport Ice Cream Bakery. He posted the surveillance video from the burglary at his shop on Facebook and YouTube. Days later, he got a call from Penny Orr, the owner of Yogurtini saying she thinks his video shows the same guy hit her store.

Surveillance video captured a burglary at Yogurtini on July 5.

"Kansas City says we've seen enough of this, these are our businesses. This is our city. This is our home. This is our family. These are our people and roots this little weasel out," he said.

The two small business owners both say the sweatshirt, jeans and tennis shoes are identical. They also point to the way the thief came into their stores, by breaking in through a glass window. Each of them, left with thousands of dollars in damage.

"Your stomach just has this pit that it just makes you sick somebody would do that to you. You just feel violated," Orr shared.

Both owners are hoping that by banding together and bringing more attention to the crimes, someone with information will come forward. Engravalle is offering a $1,000 cash reward to anyone who turns the burglar in, so that he and other business owners can focus on what they do best.
