Kansas City police say one of the victims of a double shooting has died.

Police say officers found the two victims wounded in the front room of a home in the 2500 block of Bellefontaine Friday night while responding to a reported shooting. The victims were unresponsive and unable to provide any statements. They were taken to a local hospital.

Police announced Sunday that one of the victims, Leroy Farris, had died.

Tanya Starr, 44, was charged with second-degree murder, second-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action in the shooting.

According to court documents, witnesses & Starr told police there was an argument at a home and Starr got a gun from another person. She tried to hit the person she was arguing with but the gun went off and struck him as well as Farris, who later died from his injuries.

Starr turned herself into police.
