Shawnee police investigate two overnight burglaries

SHAWNEE, Kan. - The Shawnee Police Department is investigating after two overnight burglaries.

Officers were dispatched to Sport Clips in the 16300 block of 65th Street on an alarm before 1 a.m. When officers arrived, they found forced entry through the main door.

A second burglary was reported around 1:40 a.m. after an employee responded to Minsky’s Pizza in the 7100 block of Renner Road in response to an alarm call. Police said when the employee arrived, they found forced entry through the main door and then contacted police.

The amount of loss isn’t known at this time.

Shawnee police said officers are investigating to determine if the two burglaries are related.
