UPDATE: Victim identified as former OSU player

UPDATE 9/21 | The victim in this fatal shooting has been identified as 46-year-old Royce Jeffries. 

Jeffries was a former Oklahoma State University standout basketball player.

Jeffries was working security at Bob's Bar and Grill when a fight broke out early Sunday morning. Jeffries and another member of security tried to break up the fight and remove those involved from the club. 

According to reports, one man involved in the altercation returned to the scene with a gun and opened fire, killing Jeffries and wounding two others. 

ORIGINAL STORY | 

One man was fatally shot  and two others were hurt by a shooting outside a bar at 57th and Troost early Sunday morning.

Police were called to Bob's Bar and Grill about 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two people shot and one male was dead at the scene.

A male employee was transported with non life-threatening injuries.

A short time later, a female showed up at an area hospital, also with a non life-threatening injury.

Police say there was a disturbance at the bar and employees were getting people outside, when the male suspect started shooting.

The suspect was able to escape the scene, police say.
