A woman is charged after allegedly bringing her child to drug deals.

Crystal Peters is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

An undercover Kansas City police officer spotted Peters and her child Monday afternoon during an undercover drug buy at 118 Westport Road.

An undercover officer purchased purported cocaine base from the alleged dealer.

The officer saw Peters in the passenger seat and her child in the backseat.

The alleged drug dealer also pointed a loaded handgun at the officer during the drug transaction.

KCMO Police Tactical Unit officers arrested the alleged dealer and Peters when they went to a convenience store at 3742 Main Street.

Court documents state officers found a loaded .9mm handgun, about 2.2 grams of alleged cocaine base in a plastic bag, money and live rounds of ammunition.

Peters and her child got into the car in the 900 block of East 68th Street.

Peters told police she knew it wasn't safe to have her child in the situation but said it was easier to get a ride with the alleged dealer than to take the bus home.

She told police she knew the man had crack cocaine with him.
