A Kansas City, Kan. woman is facing charges for a Valentine’s Day theft and resisting arrest.

Platte County, Mo. prosecutors have charged Kista M. Wilson, 30, with one count of resisting arrest and another count of theft when she stole an edible arrangements gift bag – valued at $85.00 - on Valentine’s Day from the hotel lobby at the Argosy Casino.

According to court documents filed Tuesday, surveillance video captured Wilson and another man stealing the edible arrangements from a table in the lobby.

Two days later, the Missouri Highway Patrol located Wilson and brought her in for an interview at the Missouri Gaming Commission’s office at the casino. During the interview, Wilson fled the office, where eventually she crashed into the casino’s security boss, where she was taken into custody.

Wilson complained of pain associated with the arrest and was transported to an area hospital, where, while awaiting treatment, she got up off the bed and left the hospital.

A warrant is out for her arrest.
