KCPS approves contract with new superintendent

The Board of Directors of Kansas City Public Schools announced on Thursday a three-year contract with Mark T. Bedell as new school’s new superintendent.

Details of the contract include:

  • Base annual salary of $225,000
  • 403(b) contribution
  • District issued automobile
  • Health and Dental Insurance
  • Future retention bonus at the conclusion of the three year contract
  • Relocation expenses

 

“Additionally,  I want to thank our entire KCPS community.  As we began the process, we created a plan that asked our community to engage with us.  They answered our call by participating in focus groups, feedback sessions, and community interviews,” said Board Chair Jon Hile said in a press release.
