KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three homes were damaged after one caught fire in the 700 block of North Agnes Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were called to the scene just before 5 a.m., where they found that a vacant home had caught fire, then ignited the two neighboring homes.

One of those houses was also vacant, but the other was occupied.

The man who lived there was evacuated and is OK. Some siding and his electrical panel were melted, so he is without power.

One of the man’s neighbors attempted to help protect the man’s home with a garden hose.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.

The home that caught fire is a total loss.

No one was hurt.
