For comparison's sake, we looked into what else you can buy with $2 million:

1. College tuition: The University of Missouri says the total cost for the 2015-2016 academic year for a Missouri resident, including tuition of 14 credit hours per semester, room and board, books and personal expenses, is $26,140. For $2 million, you could attend Mizzou for 76 1/2 years, or pay to put 19 students through four years of college each.

2. This beautiful 5,300-square-foot home in Platte City, Missouri.

3. According to NerdWallet, it cost $246,038 to raise a child in KCMO born in 2013 to the age of 18. For $2 million, you could raise eight kids to age 18.

4. Royals tickets: GoBankingRates found that it costs $89.40 to go to a Royals game (price includes two tickets, two hot dogs, two beers and parking). You could attend 22,371 games with $2 million.

5. Groceries: The USDA found that in February 2015, a moderate-cost plan for groceries cost a family of four $1,070.50 per month. At that rate, it would take almost 156 years to spend $2 million.
