Bonner Springs raises smoking age to 21

BONNER SPRINGS, Mo. - The Bonner Springs City Council approved an ordinance raising the age of sale of tobacco products from 18 to 21. 

The measure was approved on Monday unanimously by a vote of 9-0. 

Bonner Springs is the eighth municipality to approve Tobacco 21 legislation since the initiative was launched in October 2015.

  • Iola, Kansas
  • Prairie Village, Kansas
     

Tobacco 21, an effort of Healthy KC, is apart of a regional effort spearheaded by the Greater City Chamber of Commerce and Blue Cross and Blue Shield along with 100 businesses and agencies.
