Some employees who work near the streetcar line have been dealing with construction woes for months. Some of them are less than thrilled about the progress.

"The streetcar damaged windows when they were doing their drilling," said Elizabeth Lawrence Wobker of City Diner in downtown Kansas City. "We've called them; they keep telling us to call our insurance company. It's been a mess."

She called the parking situation at City Diner a nightmare. Wobker claims construction crews took up about four of her parking spaces outside and that's limiting construction for employees.

We reached out to the city and employees tell us City Diner needs to file a claim for the damaged window. They also say no marked parking spots were taken and that a curb near their parking lot was added to help the visually impaired.
