UPDATE - Police have identified the victim as Albert C. Meeks, 36, of Kansas City, Kansas.
PREVIOUS - Officials say a man is dead after a single-vehicle crash near 82nd and Troost early Sunday morning.
The driver was reportedly northbound in Cadillac when he lost control, crossed the centerline and struck a metal utility pole on the side of the street.
The driver was a 36-year-old Kansas City, Kansas man. His name has not yet been released.
