The Fill the Fridge food drive asks for food items not normally found during a food drive, including dairy products, meat and produce.
It’s produce day in the food pantry at Cornerstone Church in Blue Springs.
“What our church does is provide food for them, and we try to provide encouragement and to just let them know that they are cared for. They are not just a number – they are a person,” Christine O’Dwyer with Cornerstone Church Food Pantry said.
