Attendees of the Plaza Art Fair were surprised with a flash mob on Saturday night.
Twenty-four students from the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance prepared for six weeks for the surprise in support of the KC Pet Project. The students sported KC Pet Project t-shirts and danced to “Get Me Bodied,” by Beyoncé.
The Kansas City organization is the largest no-kill animal shelter in the metro, caring for nearly 10,000 animals a year, according to the group.
The KC Pet Project said that the goal was to bring awareness to the organization and promote the pets waiting for forever homes.
