KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Charlotte, N.C. bound jet returned to Kansas City International Airport Tuesday afternoon following landing gear problems.

An American Eagle Airlines jet operated by PSA Airlines took off just before 3:30 p.m. en route to Charlotte International Airport. Shortly after takeoff, the pilots radioed air traffic controllers they were experiencing landing gear issues.

Four people were onboard flight 9925, a CRJ-700, which flew around the northland for about 30 minutes before landing back at KCI without incident.

Icy conditions hampered flight operations at KCI Tuesday, though it wasn’t immediately clear what role, if any, the weather played in the plane’s problems.
