UPDATE 5:40 AM 5/7/2017: A large fight involving juveniles and adults broke out at the Truman Heritage Festival.

An adult female allegedly sprayed pepper spray into the crowd, which included police officers, trying to break it up.

During the fight a single gunshot was fired by an unknown suspect in the area. No one was hit by gunfire.

Due to the large fight, neighboring law enforcement from the Kansas City, Lee's Summit and Belton Police Departments, along with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department and Missouri Highway Patrol responded.
