A Raytown apartment complex manager made partial payment of an overdue sewer bill, but it's not enough to help residents there.

City leaders threatened to shut off the water next Thursday at the Amber Glenn Apartments due to missed payments dating back to April 2014.

A city spokeswoman said residents will get one day's notice to move next Thursday and will have to leave next Friday if the issue remains unresolved.

Currently, workers are repairing and re-paving the parking lot at the complex. It was not up to code.

A city spokeswoman confirms current complex manager Jesse Davila paid the current sewer bill Thursday and a small part of the $42,000 that is overdue.

But the spokeswoman said that payment isn't enough to prevent the water shut off.

Davila told 41 Action News he will resolve the issue before next week's deadline.
