Kansas City police investigate 111th homicide of 2016

Kansas City police are investigating the 111th homicide in 2016.

On Wednesday, a woman showed up to Truman Medical Center, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Around 9:15 p.m., officers came to the hospital where the victim died of her injuries. Officers believe the shooting happened in the 5500 block of Forest. The victim is described as a white woman in her mid 20s.

Officers are also investigating a robbery turned shooting that happened Wednesday around 6 p.m. on 49th Street near Belfontaine.

The victim answered his door and was robbed at gunpoint. He was taken to the hospital where he died hours later, according to police.

Police are still looking for suspects for each shooting.
