When it comes to working in the tech industry in Kansas City, it pays to be a woman.

According to a new analysis from Smart Asset, Kansas City is the second best city in the country for women who work in tech.

The analysis ranked cities based on the gender pay gap, income after housing cost, tech jobs filled by women and the job growth of tech jobs over the past four years.

In Kansas City, the gender pay gap is 103.4 percent, which means women actually make more than men. Women make up about 30 percent of the computer and mathematics workforce in the city.

This is the third straight year for KC to take the second spot on the list.

Overland Park is the only other metro city to make the list. It ranks 50th.
