A male assault suspect has surrendered without incident at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Thursday.
At approximately 2 a.m. officers received information that an assault suspect was inside a residence on the 7300 block of Agnes in Kansas City, Missouri.
Upon arrival the possibly armed suspect refused to leave the home. Negotiators were called to the scene.

The man is a suspect in a shooting that happened at 5516 Garfield Wednesday. He was involved in a verbal argument that escalated to gun violence. The victim was hit once in the leg and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
