A six-week-old kitten made the journey of a lifetime with one Shawnee woman.
Kelly Hawthorne drove 80 miles with a kitten under the hood of her car. When she let the little guy out, he ran away.
But the next day she heard meowing as she was driving and found the same kitten under the hood again!
Hawthorne said she must be a cat whisperer, because the kitten really wanted to be with her family.
“Well, I wasn’t planning on getting another cat, but the story surrounding this little kitten is too amazing for me to surrender it, I have to keep it,” Hawthorne said.
Following a vet visit, the kitten is in good health and now has a new home in Shawnee.
