KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Detectives are investigating an early-morning homicide near North 21st street and Longwood Avenue.
Officers say a homeowner came outside about 4:30 Sunday morning after hearing what they thought was a car door slam, and found an African American man shot to death in the street.
Police are working the scene to see if any neighbors may have a description of any vehicles that may have fled the area.
Officers say this is the 32nd homicide of the year in KCK.
