Police responded to the sound of gunshots at 58th and Prospect early Sunday morning and found a man dead on the sidewalk.
Officers were called to the scene at 3:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, they located a man on the sidewalk with no signs of life. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police later identified the victim as Donald Watson, 34, of Kansas City, Missouri.
