Leawood police officers gave chase to a bank robbery suspect in the south Kansas City metro and made the arrest after the man driving crashed into another motorist.
The high-speed police chase wound through the area near 128th and State Line Wednesday afternoon, ending on Pawnee after the dark red sedan crashed into the back of an SUV and slowed down.
Overland Park police confirmed after the arrest that the suspect was wanted in connection to an earlier bank robbery at the Bank of the West near 120th and Blue Valley Parkway. There were no reported injuries in the robbery, which police say took place just before 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.
There was no suspect information immediately available.
