Police investigate homicide at the 2300 block of Drury in KCMO

Police were called to the 2300 block of Drury around 2:30 a.m. Friday regarding a person down in the street.

Update on 2/13: The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Michael Day.

Original Story: Police were called to the 2300 block of Drury around 2:30 a.m. Friday regarding a person down in the street.

Officers say when they arrived they found a black man in his mid 20s shot dead.

There is no suspect description at this time.

According to Kansas City, Missouri crime stats, Friday’s homicide is the 15th for 2017. Last year on this date, there were 14 homicides.
