Police investigating after KC Streetcar window damaged

One of the streetcars is out of commission. One of the windows was shattered on the KC Streetcar near Union Station.

Kansas City police are investigating after an undetermined object damaged a KC Streetcar window.

Sgt. Kari Thompson said officers were dispatched to the area of Pershing and Main just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The operator of the streetcar told police that one of the passengers alerted them that the streetcar was damaged.

Police said one of the windows was shattered but still intact from an undetermined object.

Officers said they will review surveillance video to determine what happened.

There were no reported injuries.

The streetcar was taken to the garage and is out of service while repairs are made.
