Several people answered the call to help an officer who was wounded in the line of duty.
The Chick-fil-a at Independence Center held a fundraiser for officer Tom Wagstaff on Wednesday.
A percentage of the proceeds will go to the "Answer the Call" fund.
People also offered words of encouragement and dropped off donations.
Wagstaff was shot while responding to a burglary call in March.
