KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Officials with Schlitterbahn Waterpark Kansas City announced late Thursday the park’s much anticipated ride – Verruckt – will not open as scheduled on Sunday.
In a release, officials did not mention a new target date for opening the ride, which has seen several delays as crews have worked to modify and test the ride.
In a Twitter post, Schlitterbahn said they are working on the conveyor belt portion of the ride that would carry the rafts for the ride to the top.
On Thursday, SKYTRACKER video showed park workers continuing to test the ride, although no people have been a part of any tests.
