Hot 103 Jamz has a new campaign to get people register to vote and commit to casting their ballot in November.

On air personality Julee Jonez said the problem is voter apathy.

"Both candidates have supporters but the polls show they both have a low rating for likability," said Jonez

The lack of enthusiasm could translate into a low turnout in the presidential election this November. The voter registration campaign on the air reminds listeners to register to vote and why.

One ad reads in part," if you wants better schools roads, if you want better policing - vote, If you want development in your community - vote."

The voter registration campaign is in conjunction with the Black Healthcare Coalition of Greater Kansas City and the Greater Kansas City Links.

The deadline to register to vote in Missouri is October 12. The deadline to register to vote in Kansas is October 18

Felons who have served their time can vote in Missouri. When you register to vote the only identification you need is your state drivers license or Missouri ID card.
