KANSAS CITY, Mo. — UPDATE 9:30 PM 10/16/2018: Paolo, Kansas police arrested the suspected driver of a vehicle they say hit a 12-year-old boy and fled the scene.
According to a post on the department's Facebook page, a dark-colored SUV struck the child heading south on Pearl Street near Grandview Street.
The vehicle left the scene and the child was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
Police say the vehicle may have front-end damage on the passenger side or towards the middle. It was also leaking fluid as it left the scene.
