Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating after human remains were located Wednesday.

Police said they received a call around 10:40 a.m. about the remains. A mushroom hunter located the remains of a skull along with other bones near the area of 5600 Wolcott Drive.

Kansas City, Kansas, police said Thursday the coroner confirmed they were human remains.
