A burglar was shot by a homeowner in KCK early Wednesday morning.
Officers were called to the area near 17th and Cleveland, just down the street from Northwest Middle School.
Officials say the suspect was trying to break into several cars on the city block.
According to police, a homeowner saw the burglar in action, got a gun and then shot the suspect.
The burglar is expected to survive.
