KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City-area woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after she was spotted driving in the Northland with a gas hose attached to her gas tank.
A Clay County sheriff’s spokesman said that around 1:30 a.m., a deputy was passed by a woman who was driving an SUV that had sparks coming from the vehicle.
Upon a closer look, the deputy noticed a gas pump still attached to the SUV’s gas tank.
The woman was pulled over near 152 Highway and North Church Road, where she was arrested on suspicion of DUI and possession of marijuana.
Deputies believe the gas pump was torn off from a gas station near downtown Kansas City, Missouri., nearly 13 miles away.
