A man convicted of shooting and killing a Shawnee gun shop owner was sentenced to life in prison Friday.

Hakeem Malik was one of four accused robbers, who barged into the She's a Pistol store on Nieman Road in January 2015.

During the attempted robbery they exchanged gunfire with store owner Jon Bieker, who was shot and killed.

Bieker's wife was knocked unconscious.

Malik was the only suspect not to get hit with a bullet and spend time in the hospital before going to jail.

One other suspect has been sentenced in this trial.

Londro Patterson was also given a life sentence.

Patterson and Malik aren't eligible for parole for at least 25 years.

Nicquan Midgyett and De'Anthony Wiley have not been sentenced yet.

Midgyett's trial is expected to start December 11.

Wiley's trail is scheduled for October 30.

All four men were charged with first degree murder, two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated battery.
