If you're on social media, you will see the occasional "find this dog" photo from a friend.

It gets spread around. People share it.

For one missing Great Dane dog in Kansas City, a whole community rallied to find the dog.

After being missing for nearly five days, Harvey the Great Dane was found.

The missing dog had a Facebook page dedicated to finding it - and over 500 Facebook users connected with the page. They helped search for the dog, hang fliers and posted sightings on the page.

The dog was spotted several times along 71 Highway and Interstate 435 just west of the triangle.

Katie Archibald, an organizer of the search, said strangers from as far as the Northland came down to assist in the search.

" I means a lot. We would not have anywhere near the man power if people didn't help. I'm amazed by the support. People have been so helpful and it's so heartwarming."

The dog was discovered about 11 miles away from its home. Harvey is home safe with his owners tonight.
