A student at Northwest Missouri State University was found dead in her dorm room on Sunday morning.

Officials say freshman Haily Hayes was reportedly found dead in her residence hall. The university said no foul play was suspected.

Hayes was originally from Oak Grove, Mo. and was studying business management. She was also a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority.

Her death is being investigated by the Nodaway County coroner's office, Maryville Public Safety and university police.

Northwest Missouri State University has planned a memorial for Hayes on Monday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. at the J.W. Jones Student Union Boardroom.

Hayes' family has set up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds to pay for funeral services.
