Chiefs Kingdom was bustling with fans Monday morning as Jackson County residents got their first grab at tickets.

To score tickets now, people must live in Jackson County and present a photo ID and a property tax receipt at Arrowhead Stadium’s Ticket Office.

“It’s good to give back to the people that voted to keep the team where they are and to help build things in a time when I think stadiums in the NFL themselves could probably afford to do it on their owns,” said fan Matt Riffel.

It is also a way for residents to save money and get some of the best seats at Arrowhead.

“I think better seats is the first thing I know that a lot of tickets get sold, once the go to the general public they go get sold pretty quickly and then you are looking at the secondary market for tickets,” said Riffel.

You save money verses buying from a ticket scalper or somebody like that,” said Chiefs fan Mary Dominick.

Chiefs season ticket members got the chance to purchase their tickets at 10 a.m. Monday.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
