It's become much more refined since then, but even though boys' and men's lacrosse in the Midwest has flourished, the girls' side has been lagging behind, until now.
All of a sudden, girl's lacrosse is surging in popularity, and many Midwestern colleges are adding women's lacrosse to their athletic families and are searching for scholarship athletes on metro teams.
