It may be a few long months for drivers now that the 95th Street and I-35 interchange is closed for construction.

This construction is also hitting home for local businesses. Stores in this area are trying to stay positive and rely on their loyal customers to stay afloat. The owner of JB's One Stop said he's doing his own renovations during this time of construction.

"We will have less traffic in and out of the store and it will allow us to do our own remodeling," said owner James Briuer.

According to the Johnson County Gateway Project website, the area will be rebuilt into a new diverging diamond interchange. The entire interchange and some surrounding streets will be closed for six months.
