Tuesday is National Mojito Day so break out the mint and muddler! Bartender James Huckaba explains where the mojito came from and how it was created.

The Patron Silver Mojito

  • 1.5 oz Patron Silver
  • .5 oz Patron Citronge Lime
  • .5 oz Agave 1:1 Syrup
  • .5 oz Fresh Lime

Gently press mint in bottom of Collins glass with Simple Syrup; Shake other ingredients and pour into Collins glass. Splash with soda and garnish with lime wheel and Mint Sprig.

An iteration:
This cocktail uses several key native ingredients found in the Caribbean region, and represents places that Sir Francis Drake may have visited on his journeys.

Drake's Journey

  • 1.5 oz Patron Silver
  • .5 Fresh Lime
  • .25 oz Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao
  • .5 oz Tamarind Syrup

Press mint in bottom of Collins Glass with Dry Curaçao; Shake other ingredients and pour into Collins glass. Splash with soda, and garnish with mint sprig and dehydrated orange wheel.
