The Sumatran tigers at the Kansas City Zoo come from an island in Indonesia, and it's estimated that there are only 400 left living in the wild.

The species is critically endangered due to habitat loss, thanks to palm oil plantations taking over the rain forests. But there is an easy way for all of us here in KC to help the tigers and orangutans of Sumatra!

Palm oil can be found in nearly half of all the products in the supermarket, so choosing brands that use sustainable sources is very important.
