I launched the 100-Day Newsome Weight-Loss Challenge on Wednesday, September 4 during our Workout Wednesday segment on 41 Action News at Midday.
I promised during the next 100 days to provide practical information and inspiring stories to help you lose weight and Sue Thompson is one of those inspiring stories. She lost 102 pounds in one year.
Sue told me that she's a big believing in making small changes and that was the key to her success. At her heaviest, Thompson weighed 272 pounds.
"If I set out to loose 122 pounds that was such a big goal that I don't think I would have made it," Thompson said.
"So I decided to lose five pounds at a time and I would celebrate each victory which motivated me to keep going," Thompson explained.
She encouraged our 100-Day Challenge crew to set realistic goals and be determined to reach those goals.
"Since losing weight, my health has improved and I have a new energy and excitement about life," Thompson concluded.
