So, what does Birmingham, Alabama, have to do with getting motivated in our town on a Monday morning?

Well, thanks to the iron ore found in that area of the country, they call Birmingham, "The Iron City."

It was in a garage, there, that a group of fitness folks decided to develop a new way to train.

They became The Iron Tribe.

From that beginning, we get Iron Tribe Fitness in Leawood, Kansas.

Lead coach, Kory Robertson, says you can get it all in 45 minutes: weights, cardio, stretching, shower and out the door.

There are always two coaches present for each class (class size is limited to 20 at a time) with one-on-one training also available.

In other words, this is a one-stop-shop for getting in great shape.

You know how at most gyms, dropping the weights is a no-no?

At Iron Tribe, the rubber weights and flexible floor make it a great way to put an exclamation point on your workout.

So, if the Olympic spirit is pushing you toward a fitter, healthier lifestyle, join the Iron Tribe.

As for my own efforts, well, this place is very clean and I’m kind of a jerk so I do have the “Clean and Jerk” thing going for me.
