You’ve probably heard of the TV show, “Orange is the New Black.”  Maybe you’ve even binge-watched it.

For the last three years at Zona Rosa, north of the river, “Orange Wednesday is the new Black Friday!”  And, yes, people do binge-shop.

According to general manager, Rosemary Salerno, “Orange Wednesday” was originally just the working title of the event.

But, customers and merchants loved it.  So, now, marking its third year, Orange Wednesday is a tradition!

The shopping area is closed on Thanksgiving, but the Wednesday night before is full of good deals and good fun.

Shoppers who spend $100 between 6 and 10 p.m. on Orange Wednesday event can bring their receipts to Zona Rosa Guest Services and receive a $25 gift card they can use anytime at Zona Rosa.

In addition, more than $10,000 in prizes will be given away to lucky shoppers participating.

Winners announced during the evening will be given 15 minutes to report to Guest Services to collect prizes in person.

All Zona Rosa stores will be open until 10 p.m. Wednesday with stores offering compelling deals to early bird holiday shoppers.

You can even win a gift card just for wearing orange!  Random Secret Santas will be making those special deliveries.

Come to think of it, maybe the real Santa will ditch the red and white for a nice orange sweater!
