About 1.3 million bicycles from 13 separate manufacturers have been recalled.
The problem with the bikes is an open quick release lever on the bicycle's front wheel that comes into contact the with front disc brake rotor.
This could cause the front wheel to come to a sudden stop.
The impacted bike models:
Three incidents led to the recall. One adult male suffered a broken finger, injured wrist and shoulder injury in one of the incidents.
The bikes were sold at numerous stores from 1998 through 2015. The price range of the bikes were between $200-10,000.
